Loggia as part of the living area of ​​the apartment

The presence of a landscaped loggia in the house allows you to significantly expand the useful area of ​​the dwelling, but such a redevelopment requires a responsible and serious approach to business. So that the loggia becomes part of the common room – the bedroom, the living room or the office – you should take care of its high -quality and reliable insulation. It is also impossible to do with improvised materials, in addition, the overall level of comfort in the apartment also depends on the quality of insulation of the loggia, so the decoration and insulation of balconies and loggias should be entrusted only to qualified professionals who are versed in the intricacies and nuances of this type of repair. When choosing thermal insulation materials, one should not be limited to the cheapest option, since this is fraught with negative consequences in all work, as well as a violation of a favorable microclimate in the house.

Extruded polystyrene foam, which is already formed in ready -made slabs, is ideal for insulation of the loggia. Insulating the loggia, which will be part of the living room, you should take the material with a thickness of 6 centimeters.

The loggia is insulated after glazing, when full sealing of seams and all joints between window frames and the designs of the loggia is ensured.

Thermal insulation plates are mounted on all surfaces – walls, ceiling and floor, and to fix the insulation, it is enough to limit yourself to ordinary tape. A layer of vapor barrier is provided from above, for which it is recommended to use a foamed 3-mm polyethylene or a similar film that protects the materials from condensate exposure.
