Installation of a plastic window

If the window opening is concrete, respectively, a punch with dowels is also useful. The window is attached to the walls using metal brackets that are included. Brackets need to be fixed to the window frame using self -tapping screws.

Usually, masters, before installing the window, remove double -glazed windows from it. This is done to reduce the weight of the window and for greater convenience in installing. If the window is small, then you can do without this operation. Otherwise, it is necessary to carefully remove the plastic fasteners with which the double -glazed window is attached to the frame and remove the glass. We advise using warm aluminum Schuco.

So, first of all, you need to use the level to place the window in the opening so that it stands exactly in all planes. To do this, put it in a horizontal plane using wooden wedges, controlling the level, and then fix the lower corners of the window. Next, using the level, set the position of the window in the vertical plane, after which you need to fix the upper corners of the window. In fact, the window is installed. It remains only to seal the gap between the new window and the opening using mounting foam. After the foam dries, you need to knock out wooden wedges from under the windows and fill the formed holes with foam.
