Fundamentals of work with glass

The main type of work with glass is the elementary replacement of a broken window or door glass with a new. If the construction of a private house is underway, then glazing requires not only windows and art decisions of the door, but also a veranda, glass partitions or a greenhouse. When glazing, patterned or profile glass is often used, glass blocks are also used. Work with glass takes place in several stages:

1) preparation – preparation for cutting occurs;

2) glass cutting;

3) breaking glass;

4) installation;

5) fixing the finished canvas.

At the stage of preparing glass for cutting, it is cleaned from all kinds of pollution. If you do not clean, then the cutting of the glass is significantly complicated, and in the process of breaking its breaks will be uneven.

Cleaning occurs by wiping with a rag or washing with water with different detergents. If the glass was in conditions with a low air temperature, and it will be cut in a warm room, then it is necessary to wait some time so that it heats up. Otherwise, condensation will accumulate on its surface, which will negatively affect the cutting and breaking of glass.

Before proceeding with the cut of glass, it is worth planning how to conduct it so that the remnants can be used to the maximum. To draw up a plan, you can create a cut of glass in a reduced version on paper so that the glass turns out to be rational cutting.

Glass of glass is carried out along the cutting lines. The stages of installation and consolidation are not of particular difficulties and depend on the initial size of the product and the weight of the finished glass.
