Primer – a mandatory stage of all works. The basis for future liquid wallpaper should be perfectly absorbed and have an even tone. This is what the primer will provide. And, of course, it will save from the dust remaining after the putty of the walls. As the first layer, it is better to use a deep penetration primer.

It will allow you to express all the previous layers of materials, as well as get rid of existing problems, for example, fungus. It is advisable to read the recommendations given by the manufacturer of liquid wallpaper and purchase the soil that is indicated there. In this case, you will achieve the maximum possible result of the work.

After a primer of deep penetration, we apply the recommended soil in two or three layers, letting each of them dry well for 4-5 hours. If you decide to use a roller that accelerates the process to apply a primer, then each new layer is recommended to apply perpendicular to the previous one. The soil for liquid wallpaper can be well replaced by ordinary water -based paint.

Remember that you apply a primer with a rather liquid in your consistency on the ceiling, why drops and smudges are simply inevitable. So all layers of soil must be well aligned. It is possible to proceed with the application of liquid wallpaper only after the primer dries completely.

If you plan to apply a certain pattern using liquid wallpaper, then it is at this stage of work that it is best to make the necessary marking of the ceiling. For these purposes, you can use the templates sold in specialized construction stores. All used templates are fixed on the ceiling using double -sided tape.
