Perhaps one of the most common mistakes that are made when working with drywall is non -compliance with the conditions of storage of material. As a result, during operation, drywall sheets begin to deform, and cracks form on the seams. Drywall sheets are recommended to be stored in a horizontal position and only on a flat surface. In this case, the temperature and humidity modes must be observed. During the installation of drywall sheets, the air temperature in the room should be approximately the same as it will be directly during operation.
The error is also a deviation from the installation technology. It also applies to components of materials. So, a decrease in the thickness of the metal profile from 0.6 mihimiter to 0.4-0.5 will certainly lead to a decrease in the stiffness and strength of the entire structure.
It also happens that after installation, suspended ceilings begin to make a crack. In this case, first of all, you should pay attention to the putty mixture. There are times when it just does not fit the brand. Also, the cause of the creak may be that the screws are not fully twisted. In addition, the joints of sheets during the installation of the ceiling must be based on a metal profile or wooden rails.
When erecting partitions from drywall sheets, the question is quite relevant if it will be possible that they shouldn’t hang them on them. It is worth remembering here that almost all goods are attached with dowels. And the size of these dowels directly depends on the thickness and weight of the cladding. So to hang, and a plasterboard partition is a picture, a hook or a nail will be enough. But in order to hang a book shelf, it will be necessary to twist several screws in the wall. And it is worth it to screw them, only into metal racks from the profile. If the screws are screwed simply into drywall, then it naturally cannot withstand such a load.
