Alluvial sand in construction work.
Nice sand was called the career, due to prey, which is carried out in quarries using a hydromechanical method, which consists in abundant flushing with its water. The module of the nimble sand size ranges from 1.5 to 5.0 mm in intervals, and it is divided into three groups in terms of grain size:
Fine -grained – from 1.5 to 1.8 mm
Medium -grained – from 2.0 to 2.8 mm
Coarse -grained – from 2.2 to 5.0 mm.
In alluvial sand, there are such natural elements of impurities as: clay, which is up to 4.5%, dust and silt-no more than 1.5%, which indicates the good quality of the material belonging to the 1st class of radioactivity. Another indicator of alluvial sand is the filtration coefficient, which is from 5 to 11 meters a day.
Thanks to such properties and good technical characteristics, alluvial sand with delivery found its widespread use in construction work, where it is used:
As the main component in the manufacture of various concrete mixtures, including high strength. The following reinforced concrete products are produced from such high -strength material: rings, borders, pillars, etc.
In the construction of roads
In the production of brick
In plastering and for screeding floors.
The advantages of alluvial sand:
Resistance to adverse and harsh weather conditions
It does not require additional processing, because the primary cleaning process is carried out very high quality
The disadvantage of this sand is one – high cost, and therefore most often the choice is made in favor of cheaper material.
Nice sand varies among themselves in color shades, which completely depend on its location. The color scheme is light yellow, light gray and dark gray.
The strength of the finished reinforced concrete products depends on the quality of the career material.
